Held in Historic Abingdon and the surrounding area, the annual Virginia Highlands Festival offers juried fine art and crafts, antiques, performing and literary arts, music, local history, the great outdoors, and fun for kids of all ages!
Parking & Transportation
Ample parking is available in the Festival lots off I-81 exits 14 (Antiques Market/Washington County Fairgrounds & Heartwood) and 19 (Roses/Wolf Hills Shopping Center). Free shuttles run to Festival sites and to Abingdon?s Historic District from these lots from 9:30 AM-6 PM.
Festival Information Booth
The Festival Info Tent is open daily 10 a.m. ? 6 p.m. at Barter Square by the Juried Arts & Crafts. Make this your first stop for daily updated Festival schedules, general information about the Town of Abingdon, and recommendations for travelers.
Tickets
Admission to Arts & Crafts is free, but we would greatly appreciate a $1 donation per person as you enter.
Admission to the Antiques Market is $5 per day or $20 for a ?season pass,? cash only at the entrance gate.
Tickets for events at Barter Theatre are available at the Barter Box Office: (276) 628-3991. Tickets for other events are available at the performance or as indicated on the event information listing.
ATMs
For your convenience, Festival ATMs are located at Arts & Crafts and the Antiques Market. Several banks along Main Street also offer ATM service.

Most Festival venues are accessible. If you are uncertain or need to make special arrangements, please call the Festival office at (276) 623-5266. Wheelchairs are available to borrow at Arts & Crafts and at the Antiques Market.
